stalinglimwrote this for me in response to 'Promises', and it's nearly more beautiful than the original. At least, I think so. Here, look:

He dies dancing in darkness, flying with grace,

in the arms of his lover, a smile on his face.

He dies with a legacy, the promise fulfilled,

A death sweeter than the batman had willed.

He dies not the bat but the man,

with his family around him and someone holding his hand.
